Dr. Jennifer Chirico Dr. Chirico brings 15 years of experience as a teacher, consultant, researcher, and director. She is the president of Susty Pacific, a sustainable business consulting company, an adjunct professor in sustainability at the University of Hawaii Maui College, and the former Executive Director of the Sustainable Living Institute of Maui (SLIM). She founded the Maui Chapter of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) and serves on multiple community boards.

David Fisher David Fisher has advised, taught and help raise money for over 3,000 entrepreneurs on Maui over the last 23 years. One of his current ventures is developing the Hawaii Community Exchange (H-CX.com), a “locavesting” strategy to help turn dreams into reality. He has a BA from Yale and an MBA from New York University.

Kainoa Horcajo Kainoa serves as a “bridge” between people, cultures and industries of Hawaii. Born and raised on Maui, he is a passionate, lifelong student of Indigenous Cultures, specifically Kanaka Maoli culture and practices. Horcajo is a partner in Hana Pono, an organization that provides Cultural Studies and Impact Assessments. He is a certified alaka’i of NaHHA’s Ola Hawaii, conducting culture-based training for Hawaii companies. Horcajo has worked with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) and the State of Hawaii House of Representatives as the media and outreach liaison for Representative Mele Carroll. An eloquent speaker, he has given presentations across the islands—as well as speaking on Native Hawaiian issues across the country. Horcajo is active in the Maui community and does volunteer work in Olowalu, Auwahi, and Kipahulu. He is a board member of Maui Recycling Group, DeBolt Gardens Foundation, and an advisory board member to Maui Tomorrow.

Donna Howard Donna Howard brings more than 35 years of experience in fundraising campaign success and organizational leadership to Kela Associates. She specializes in strategy development for major-gifts solicitation and the planning and implementing of comprehensive capital campaigns for nonprofits and educational institutions such as University of California, Berkeley, School of Public Health; Kapiolani Health Foundation; National Tropical Botanical Garden; University of Hawaii Foundation; University of California, Irvine; and Mills College.
