What drives you to do the work you do?
I love teaching. And I’m passionate about making the world a better place. My work combines both of these.
What is one personal experience or relevant anecdote that informs your TEDx talk?
I’ve seen how tiny changes in my life create surprising results. (The key: You gotta make the right changes)
How are you or your topic connected to Maui or Hawaiʻi?
The Islands are tiny, but their impact on the world is very big. That’s exactly what I’m talking about: How tiny can be huge.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Yes, young man… keep studying in the library until midnight every night. It’s an excellent investment.
What advice would your younger self give to the older you?
Take more vacations. (Specifically, visit Maui more often!)
